Claude Cunningham Performance Hall
The Claude Cunningham Performance Hall is a versatile auditorium that aside from being the site for all Mansfield ISD graduation ceremonies, is an ideal location for musical and live-action performances as well as other large-scale productions. The auditorium has several different seating configurations with a capacity of 5,500.
Our Namesake
Dr. Claude Cunningham retired in May 2009 as associate superintendent for curriculum and instruction, after 14 years in MISD and 39 years in Texas education.
In 1995, Dr. Cunningham was hired to serve as Executive Director of Student Services and Secondary Instruction in the Mansfield Independent School District. He was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction in 1998 and to Associate Superintendent in 2006.
During his tenure in Mansfield, he was responsible for the leadership and direction of all student instructional and support programs, campus operations, and school district planning.
Performance Hall Features
- A Meyer Sound Constellation system for a superior acoustical experience.
- The performance hall can be divided into three separate event venues: one center section (orchestra, parterre & mezzanine levels) that can seat about 4,200 for full stage productions; two side lecture halls that can be closed off from the main auditorium for smaller presentations with theater seating for 640 a piece.
- Audio/video and lighting capabilities have been carefully chosen to enhance audience experience during various productions and presentations.
- An additional 540 seats can be added on the stage.
